Lyon: Renewed commitment to fight against EID welcome

George Lyon, newly elected Liberal Democrat MEP for Scotland and former president of the NFU, has welcomed the Scottish Government's renewed commitment to the campaign against the introduction of compulsory sheep tagging in Scotland.

Commenting, Mr Lyon said:

"I welcome Richard Lochhead's statement that clarifies the Scottish Government's position over the introduction of EID.

"Now that the Scottish Government is fully committed to the campaign, I look forward to a meeting being set up between the Cabinet

Secretary, Scottish MEPs and industry representatives to discuss the next steps."
